California State Government

INTRODUCTION:
Congratulation on becoming an intern at the Community News Desk of the Fresno Bee. It is a great honor and opportunity to be in such a position. As an intern your first assignment is to inform the public about their government, particularly California Government.

TASK:
Your task is to learn as much as you can about the working of  California Government. Then each of you will need to research one of the 40 California Senators to the State Government. Once you completed your research, you will create a Google Slides presentation to present at community meeting to teach the general public about California Government and their representative.

 PROCESS:
The process is simple. First you will read and completely understand the task and what is required to complete the assignment. Then you will do the web-quest here to learn about the California State Government. Then you will follow this LINK to research about your assigned Senator and his/her district.
Once you have completed the Web-Quest, you will use the information you have learn to create a Google Slides Presentation.
Your slide presentation must include:

• ​An introduction to the state of California
• The THREE branches of government of the State of California
• Your assigned Senate member and a map of his/her district
• Basic profile of your assigned Senate member.
• TWO or THREE obscured laws passed by the state of California and explain what each one do.
• A Citation slide (must have at least 3)​

​You must present your Google Slides in class for a grade.
