Climate Study

INTRODUCTION:
You are a distinguished meteorologist at a local weather station. Your accomplishments are so outstanding, that you are constantly being called on for help with important projects from important people. The National Weather Service is once again calling on your expertise to help them report on weather from all over the world.
TASK:
Your task will be to research a one year worth of data from an assigned region/country of the world. A region/country will be assigned to you. You will research the weather data from that region for the year 2015. You will need to compile the information (average rainfall, average temperature, and average wind speed) in a spreadsheet and present it in two graphical information and write a narrative paragraph for each of the two graphs. You will present your report to the National Weather Service (your teacher/class).

​PROCESS:
Please following the steps below to learn about the weather and how to interpret data.
  1. Go to Three House Weather Kids website and learn about the different type of  weathers and their vocabulary.
  2. Watch the video to the right to learn about the weather and how it affects people's live.
  3. Learn how to enter data into the spreadsheet by watching the video below.
  4. Click here to download the "Data Collection" form.
  5. Working with your partner, go to Weather Under Ground Weather History Data website and query data needed to complete the collection form.
  6. With you data in hand, open Google Spreadsheet and input your data.
  7. From the input data, create three graphs via Google Spreadsheet to display the following information: seasonal average rainfall, seasonal average temperature, and seasonal average wind speed.
  8. Insert a Drawing then create a text box within Google Spreadsheet and write a paragraph for each graph to describe your data.
  9. Lastly, print out (turn in) your finding and report to the National Weather Service (Your teacher/class).
