JUNIOR CONSERVATOR-SHIP AT THE MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM

​Introduction:
Congratulation!!! Each one of you have been selected to work as a volunteer Junior Conservator at the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the Summer. Part of your duty is to learn everything that you can about ONE of the animal they have at the aquarium. You will become the "Expert" on that ONE marine animal. You'll need to create a presentation to teach others about your chosen animal.

Tasks:
The Monterey Bay Aquarium needs you to follow these steps during your research of your marine animal:
  • Select a marine animal to research and  record its name and location on your data log.
  • Use the Research Note paper to record information about your animal
  • Research to learn about your its background and its natural habitat.
  • Research to discover how your animal have adapted for protection, food, and survival.
  • ​Create a Google Slides presentation to present all the information you have discovered.
The future of the aquarium and these animals depends on you!
​Process:
1- Make sure you have selected a marine animal provided by your teacher.

2- Go to Google Classroom, open the assignment and work on your research note.
3- Once you completed the note you may start working on the Google Slides file in the assignment.
Requirements:
  • Slide #1 : Title, your name, teacher and date(Design with 1-2 pictures and a Background Color or Picture)
  • Slide #2: Description (include scientific name, size, description, and 1-2 pictures)
  • Slide #3: Habitat (where your animal live in the wild, its range, reproduction and life span, and 1-2 pictures)
  • Slide #4: Diets: (what your animal eats and what eats it -include 1-2 pictures)
  • Slide #5: Adaptation Facts#1 (eating, breathing, and communicating -include 1-2 pictures)
  • Slide #6: Adaptation Facts#2 (hiding and escaping predators -include 1-2 pictures)
  • Slide #7: Sources (be sure to include three sources)​
4- When all assignments are completed, present your Google Slide project to the class.
5- And finally submit the Google Slides, the Research Notes in Google Classroom.
